At some stage, your
little darling won't be the apple of your eye or the spring in your
step and if you are anything like me, the camera can be very handy in
capturing those less than perfect moments. Like the time Master J got
into the flour on the bench or sprinkled the rice bubbles all over the
counter and floor; or perhaps the time when he bawled like a newborn
calf when I didn't jump to and push his cozy coupe car along (he's lucky
he still has one!). So don't let these moment pass you by, scrapbook
everyday times. This set makes it easy to do those moments, along with
halloween or playtime photos. I have a thing about spiders...don't like
them at all in real life but apparently I LOVE them on scrapbooking
product and can't get enough! I have about 30+ sets for cave photos and
only 3 series of actual cave photos! hahaha! Still won't stop me from
getting some cute, glittery purple web paper though...Cat x

We've had the pleasure of knowing Georgia Keays for quite a few years,
since she first got started with scrapbooking. A complete natural,
Georgia took to the craft like a duck to water! Her work is distinctive
and can be spotted from half a mile...
I think perhaps we should call this style..."the Georgia".
She has finally joined our team here at Scrapbook Secrets to pass on her wisdom
in the form of two different classes. Intermediate 3 with lots of layering
and stitching and Advanced 6 with a great, super-layered page that is just
begging to be framed. Thanks so much G for agreeing to take us on!
A hundred and one congratulations too, to Georgia for her appointment as a member
of the inaugural Basic Grey Design Team. We are super stoked for you
(somewhat jealous!) and are thrilled that one of our own has been chosen to
showcase one of the best manufacturers in the industry.

We're thrilled and chuffed to have Kathy Hall (Kat) join our chirpy nest. Kat will
be teaching our 'Make that Page' round of classes (5) which run only twice per six
months; changing in July. She is extremely creative, love the Cricut, has extensive
teaching experience and in a lovely person to boot! Classes are scheduled
to start in January, so call the store for details. Kat will also be working in the store
on Sundays prior to classes, getting to know our customers and where everything is!

Hey Everyone,
My name is Kat, although I will often answer to Meow as well.
I am a mum
to a delightful 6 1/2 year old daughter who is already showing an
addiction to
scrapbooking items - in particular Prima (my poor husband...lol)
and I
work full-time teaching Year One at a local primary school!
Life is busy and
it's just the way I like it....
I have a slight coffee addiction, can't imagine
why :D
So some background as to why I started scrapping....
the usual birth of a
child here but with an added incentive.
My Dad passed away just over 6 weeks
before Amberlee was born
and I wanted to scrap pics of Dad and tell parts of
his story -
this is a project I am still working on.
I have designed, taught and worked in scrapbooking stores since early
2008
and am definitely seeing the cyclic rotation that comes as part of
scrapbooking.
Certain manufacturers have won me over and I buy any range that is
released by
Jillibean Soup, October Afternoon and Echo Park.
Other favourites
include Cosmo Cricket, Authentique and WRMK.
I love all things Cricut and can often be found attached to my gypsy,
I
recently upgraded my Cricut Expression to a CE Version 2 and I love it.
I'm a self confessed scrapbook tool junkie - I'm embarrassed to admit
I
don't think WRMK have released a tool I haven't got hiding in my scrap room.
So What's my style?? One month it can be crisp and clean with lots of
negative space and the next I am throwing paint like there's no tomorrow
(although this style tends to be for my own personal pages).
I work with the
paper, my photos and what my current inspiration is.
